Search Engine Optimization and Marketing

When clients come to us we first look at their website and exactly what market segment they're in. Once a brief reconnaissance of that market is conducted we will present the client with our initial suggestions on how to proceed.

Number one rankings

Be the number one result.

The next step is to develop a search engine marketing strategy based on making the search experience friendly and inviting. This involves doing a couple of keyword analyses to determine what the market will accept and what competitors are not only doing right, but how we can do better. The keyword analysis will provide a basis for the naming convention for the clients' website.

Keyword analysis is looking at what keywords best describe the goods or services you offer as well as researching which search terms are the most popular and profitable. Once we have a list of keywords that we know describe your company best, we will look at what your competitors are using as keywords and how it's working for them. Once we compare the two lists and agree on what keywords will be used, we will compose a naming convention for your website.

The naming convention is the foundation of any successful website. It is the blueprint by which all the pages should be named and titled and what words should be highlighted on which page. Consider this the plumping of a house. Without the plumbing, water will not reach every room in the desired fashion.

Once the website is completely optimized and ready for the search engines to begin ranking, link building solutions will be proposed. Inbound links from other websites are the number one factor in appearing high in search engine results. For example, if you have two identical websites that are both properly optimized, how come one will appear above the other? A large factor is the links.

When programming its search algorithms (programs that index web pages), Google was inspired by the literary world. In the literary world, the more a book is quoted by other books, the more that book is held in high esteem. This is the same for links. The more links are pointing to your website, the higher your website will appear in search engine results.

Link exchange is an effective way of getting links to point to your website. The greater the number of websites that point to your website, and the higher that those websites are ranked, the better you will rank. If the naming convention is the plumbing that brings water to your home, links are the waterworks that feed the plumbing.

Another drop in the bucket

Don't be just another drop in the bucket.
